Evans Easyspace, Dunfermline (£2.2m) [ top ]

This development provides 3,000m2 of flexible office space over 3 floors. The structure utilises a braced steelframe with composite in situ concrete floor on pad and strip foundations. A particular feature of the site was its topography with a 5m fall across its width in which car parking and a large footprint had to be accommodated. The use of dry cellular retaining walls was employed to create site terraces allowing development of the site. In addition site drainage employed “SUDS” principles and significant onsite attenuation.

St James Business Park Linwood (£2.1m) [ top ]

This development of 2,800m2 is a speculative development over 3 No. pavilion units ranging from 2-3 storey The structure is steel framed and utilises concrete floors. Foundations utilise a stiff concrete ring beam. As part of the works significant attenuation measures were required on site to restrict forward flows in to the receiving drainage network.

McKinnon & Clark, Dunfermline (£1.3m) [ top ]

A new headquarters building of 1,400m2 for an energy management consultancy. The building is 2/3 storey due to the topography with complex geometrical shapes. The structure utilises a steel frame with pre-cast concrete floors. The site is designed to accommodate an expansion of 1,000m2 in terms of infrastructure provision.

Edinburgh Office for Bield Housing Association (£1.2m) [ top ]

This development provides 1,000m2 over 5No. floors and is part of larger mixed use development. The building is steel-framed with composite in situ concrete floors on piled foundations. Due to the small footprint and provision of external glazing, general stability is provided via an in situ concrete core shear wall constructed using slipform techniques.

MJ Gleeson, Stirling (£1.8m) [ top ]

A new Scottish regional office of 2,350m2 for Gleeson was required on a steeply sloping site. Due to the large open plan structure a steel frame with composite in situ concrete flooring was adopted with a timber mansard roof. Foundations utilised standard pads and strip. Externally, a large 4.8m high timbacrib retaining wall was provided to form a car park.

Speculative Office, Edinburgh Office (£0.7m) [ top ]

A 600m2 office over two floors. The structure utilises a simple steelframe with facing block and render cladding. A particular feature was the three storey tower feature forming the entrance.

Ardenglen Office Development (350K) [ top ]

Two storey timber framed office development for Ardenglen Housing Association located on the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.
